American Mafia Mini Series Episode 2

Fabrizio took the small drug operation he and Carlo had started in Brooklyn and parts of New Jersey and turned it into the largest drug operation in both states. Fabrizio’s operation imports heroin from Europe and cocaine from South America earning him $30,000,000 a month in profits. But not everything in New York City has been peaceful, in the last few months a civil war erupted inside the cities primary crime family the Russo Crime Family headed by Luigi Russo. In the last few years Russo has been demanding 50% of every single one of his members every week. But the main reason for the civil war was that Russo a strict follower of the rule that people caught dealing drugs should be killed and one of the main capos involved with the dealing of drugs is Brooklyn Capo Giovanni Luciano. Normally the Family would not go against Russo because he is the Boss but since word is even though Russo forbids members in his Family to deal in drugs he takes a “tax” from a ll the drug dealers operating in New York City.

“WHATS TAKING SO LONG THIS WAR SHOULD’VE BEEN OVER ALREADY!” was what Russo always told his faction of the Family.

“We’re trying our best, boss, but Luciano has most of the Family backing HIM.” In Russo’s office in his mansion on Staten Island were 20 bodyguards and Russo’s Underboss Marco Capone. “You don’t understand Luigi this tax of yours on the drug dealers and the 50% you take from everyone has pushed a lot of our members away.”

As always Russo was eating food and making a mess all over his clothes, he was a total pig who got to where he is be violence.

“Listen Marco, Luciano has become a major problem and that kid he has working with him Fabrizio both have to go!” Marco was a quiet man that was always loyal to Russo but in the last few months his loyalty is beginning to fade.

“Well word is that Giovanni is having a big meeting at his restaurant in Brooklyn tomorrow. All the capos will be there to announce him as the Boss of the Family.” After hearing this news, Luigi threw his plate across the room and smashed against the wall. Luigi took a minute to look at the mess most likely thinking what a waste of food. He quickly looked over to Marco and slammed his hand onto his mahogany desk.

“LISTEN YOU GET EVERYONE YOU CAN TO GO TO GIOVANNI’S RESTAURANT! AND I WANT TO BE THERE WHEN YOU KILL HIM!!!”

Marco rubbed his forehead and took a deep breath and exhaled. “Whatever you want Boss.”

The next day in Giovanni’s restaurant called “Little Sicily” there was a small office behind the kitchen while during the civil war was dubbed as a joke the “Pentagon” because the office was shaped as a pentagon and that’s where all the plans were made, but Giovanni enjoyed the name so he kept it. In the “Pentagon” were Giovanni and his most loyal supporters and almost all the Family’s capos making a Family within a Family. As Boss of what was being called the “Luciano Family” Giovanni, Giovanni’s younger brother Joseph Luciano as Underboss, but all the capos didn’t see anyone being named as Consigliere. “Gentlemen I know you all trust me to make the decisions that are best for us so as Consigliere I’m naming Fabrizio DeAngelo to the position.” Silence fell over the room because Fabrizio never took the “oath” to be an official member and never actually committed a murd er to “make his bones”, sure he was a great earner everyone knew that but he didn’t complete the two most important and upheld rules in La Cosa Nostra and he wasn’t even present for the meeting. Before anyone can say anything they heard screams coming from the dining room and before they knew it 20 men with guns stormed the meeting with Marco and Luigi following behind them not because Luigi wanted to be sure things were safe but due to his large size was slow even when he walked, breaking the silence was Luigi’s heavy breathing.

“Well well well, what do we have here? All my capos in one place! Hello Giovanni!” No one moved, everyone looked at Giovanni to see what he might say or do.

“Hey Luigi, care to have a seat and something to eat? You look a little tired. Try the veal it’s the best in the City.” Of course Luigi would never refuse a meal especially veal because that was his favorite food, matter of fact there was no food Luigi didn’t like.

“Sure I could use something to eat, fellas get outta here.” He waved off the 20 gunmen but told Marco to stay. Giovanni did the same telling all the capos to leave but told his brother Joe to stay. And so in “Little Sicily’s” back office called the “Pentagon” the four men held a meeting, as two capos were the last to leave the office they asked each other, “Where’s Fabrizio?”

“Listen Giovanni I’m a reasonable man but I gotta rule that no one deals drugs!” Giovanni had a plate of pasta in front of him but he wasn’t eating it yet he believed eating food during a sit down was rude, on the other hand Luigi was scarfing down food like he was eating for all four men in the room.

“With all respect Luigi but everyone knows you’re taking drug money from everyone else and what do you expect when you demand so much money from everyone in the Family?” Luigi looked over to the waiter in the corner of the room keeping his head down and asked him to bring him another plate of veal, the waiter walked out into the kitchen with his head still down.

“Fine I can reduce the tribute to maybe 45% but that’s the best I can do.” Giovanni just looked at his brother and looked back at his serving of pasta still waiting to take a small bite out of it. “And by the way Giovanni you should fire that waiter of yours!” Giovanni looked up at Luigi looked at his watch. “It’s been forever since I made my order and he’s still not here!”

Giovanni didn’t say anything instead finally took a taste of his pasta and his brother who was just like Giovanni didn’t eat his pasta either; after Giovanni took a fork full of pasta, so did his brother.

“Joe is your gravy cold too?” Joe looked at his and shook his head in agreement.

“Well what do you expect!?” Luigi said with a smile. “It’s been sitting there for 30 minutes!” Giovanni looked at Luigi and shook his head.

“Yeah you’re right, Joe lets go get this heated up.” As the two men excused themselves, Marco who didn’t say a word since him and Luigi showed up excused himself to use the restroom. Luigi was sitting by himself at the table getting hungrier by the minute heard the doors behind him open up and took a quick look and it was the waiter. “What took you so long!? I’m starving here!” As Luigi got up to take the plate of veal the water dropped the food and pulled out a pistol and shot Luigi in the chest. Luigi’s body fell backwards and knocked over the entire table.

“HOW DARE YOU SHOOT ME YOU STUPID WAITER!?” The waiter looked at Luigi with a cold stare.

“I’m not a waiter, my name is Fabrizio DeAngelo.” Luigi began to use his hand to cover the bullet to stop the bleeding.

“YOU PUNK! MY PEOPLE ARE RIGHT OUTSIDE YOU WON’T GET OUT OF THIS PLACE!” Right after Luigi said this, Giovanni, Joe and Marco walked into the office. “MARCO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR KILL THESE GUYS!” Marco rubbed his forehead and took a deep breath.

“Listen Luigi the entire Family is done with you, your time is up.” Luigi looked all over the room hoping someone will come and save him… No one did.

“Listen! I have $1,000,000,000 over in Europe all of you can have it if you just let me live!”

Fabrizio was still holding the gun but it was at his side he took a glance at Giovanni; Giovanni gave Fabrizio a slow nod. As Fabrizio was aiming the gun at Luigi, Luigi took his hand off his chest and began to scream. “WAIT I’M SORR……” Before Luigi could finish his sentence Fabrizio shot him in between the eyes.  Giovanni told his brother to go get all the capos; they all walked in the saw Luigi on the floor and Fabrizio holding the smoking gun.  Giovanni looked around at all the capos. “Well everyone I guess we’re all in agreement that Fabrizio has made his “bones” and deserves to take the oath and become the Family’s new Consigliere. But first let’s get this place cleaned up, smells like pig in here.”

Last time we saw Fabrizio DeAngelo thanks to the stupidity of his “former” friend, Fabrizio took the small drug operation he and Carlo had started in Brooklyn and parts of New Jersey into the largest drug operation in New York and New Jersey. American Mafia Mini Series Episode 1

Fabrizio’s Rise: Mini Series – Ep. 1

One hot, summer, day in 1955, Fabrizio DeAngelo was sitting on his stoop in front of his Brooklyn Tenement but he wasn’t enjoying the sound of kids playing stickball and eating ice cream from the local Malt Shop. He was thinking of all his problems going on in his life, having no money to support his growing family since his wife had just given birth to his second child and he didn’t want his children to grow up being poor like he did, his bills were piling up, his landlord was harassing him because he wasn’t paying his rent (but he was mostly bothering him because he was Italian) and he was just recently fired from his job as a cab driver.  As he was rubbing his head he looked up and saw a brand new Cadillac driving down the road and he automatically knew it was Carlo DeMarco, he was not only the local Mafia wiseguy but he was also a friend of Fabrizio’s since their parents came over from Corleone, Sicily. As the Cadillac came to a stop in front of Fabrizio the door opened and he saw Carlo in what looked like a hand made suit, Italian shoes, a milk white fedora and a huge diamond ring, Fabrizio always thought Carlo was too flashy but he never told him that.

“Fabrizio! How are you my friend!?”

The two embraced each other and patted each other’s back. Fabrizio let out a sigh to quiet enough Carlo didn’t hear it

“I don’t know Carlo, I lost my job, the bills are piling up, the landlord is harassing me, and with the new baby I’m so lost I don’t know what to do.”

Carlo patted Fabrizio on the shoulder and looked him in the eye.

“Listen I’ve known you all my life and I hate to see you in so much trouble so I want to help you out. Here lets go for a ride.”

As the two men were in Carlo’s car down the highway down to the docks Carlo lit a cigar and was talking to Fabrizio.

“ Listen there’s this business I want to go into but can’t trust anyone not to turn me in so I want to offer it to you.” Fabrizio already knew what Carlo was talking about, though he was never a “made member” he always heard what was going on in the neighborhood. For the last few months word was Carlo had been dealing in heroin (which was how he could afford the Cadillac Fabrizio thought) but the mob bosses forbade the dealing of drugs because of the long jail sentences but Carlo never listened. But Fabrizio acted like he didn’t know that.

“What business would that be?” Carlo gave him a look but quickly looked back at the road.

“Well lately I’ve been doing well for myself selling in dope in Jersey but if I can get you to help me in Brooklyn we could both make a killing, what ya think?” Fabrizio took a long pause as he looked at the traffic going by.

“I don’t know Carlo… People tend to hate drugs being sold couldn’t we get into trouble?” Carlo made a quick grin but quickly got more serious.

“Non sense! I’m making so much money no one would dare to kill me! With one shipment that we’re going to get at the docks could make us $500,000 each! Now how can you refuse that? Listen there’s the bus stop ahead, do you want me to drop you off and you can try to find a job? Or do you wanna come with me and make more money then you could ever dream of?”

Fabrizio knew what could happen if the cops catch them that he could spend the rest of his life in jail but worse if the Mob Bosses caught his selling drugs in their neighborhoods they’d kill him. But he had a family to provide for and they were his main goal in life.

Fabrizio lit a cigarette and took a deep breath and said, “I’m in.”

Five months later after going into business with Carlo, Fabrizio has become a multimillionaire. He moved out of his crappy apartment into an estate in Long Island, has his own black Cadillac DeVille, wads of cash always on hand and can afford to send his kids to the top private schools in the state. But what Fabrizio did not know was that just the day before Carlo was taken by the local Mafia Capo for being caught selling heroin to school children, Fabrizio always told Carlo never to deal drugs to kids just adults. But Carlo didn’t listen so as his punishment Carlo was taken to the Brooklyn docks and tortured him till he gave the name of his partner in Brooklyn. Fabrizio knew he’d never betray Carlo but Carlo said to the Capo that Fabrizio was the mastermind of the whole operation. So the Capo gave a look to two of his soldiers and said we’ll go meet Fabrizio and told them to clean Carlo up. The next day Fabrizio was home in his study reading the newspaper his favorite team the New York Yankees just won the World Series when he heard the door bell and heard is wife scream and dropping something made of glass. Fabrizio assumed it was his afternoon coffee so he grabbed the gun in his desk and ran out to see a large man helping his wife pick up the glass his wife had dropped. He recognized the large man: Giovanni Luciano–the most feared Capo in Brooklyn.

“Sorry for the scare all I wanted was to talk to you.” Showing that he wasn’t scared of Giovanni, even though he was, Fabrizio told him to join him in his study that he was just reading the paper.

As the two men sat opposite of each other at Fabrizio’s desk Fabrizio put his paper aside but Giovanni asked to see the paper. As Giovanni was reading the paper he asked if Fabrizio if he knew Carlo DeMarco.

“Well yes I know Carlo we go way back.” As Giovanni put down the paper and a certain section that Fabrizio couldn’t see but it had a large picture on the page.

“Listen Fabrizio I know you and Carlo are dealing dope in Brooklyn and Jersey, now I can’t tell someone how to make a living but what I DON’T like is people dealing drugs to kids! So all I’m saying is that you have my ok to deal drugs in Brooklyn and parts of New Jersey but no dealing to kids alright? I tell you this cause I know you can be trusted to listen to orders. So I hope your operation does well and who knows maybe we can work together some day.” As Giovanni looked at his watch he started to get up from the chair and to the door but before he left he looked at Fabrizio and pointed to the paper that Giovanni left to the last page he looked at before putting it down. “Take a look at that poor guy! He’s a perfect example of why people should listen and show respect like you. Well I’ll let you read the paper I hope you have a good day.”

As Giovanni left, Fabrizio picked up the paper and saw that the picture was Carlo with his head bashed in and with the caption above the picture. “Local Hood killed on the Brooklyn waterfront, Police searching for murderers but have no leads.” Fabrizio put the paper down and sat back in his chair, he knew what Giovanni meant. He knew Giovanni knew him and Carlo worked together but Fabrizio never dealt drugs to kids, he also knew that Carlo must’ve told him he was his partner and where he lived. So Fabrizio realized that Carlo betrayed their friendship thinking he could save his life by giving Fabrizio’s life instead. So Giovanni was telling him he can take over Carlo’s side of the business as well as long as he never deals to kids seeing what can happen when you break the rules and go into business with people who will rat you out. As Fabrizio’s wife came in asking if everything was okay Fabrizio said he was fine and gave her a big hug and told her to start looking for a new house.

“Honey, we just bought this place and the movers are bringing the new furniture we don’t have the money to get another house.”

Fabrizio took a look at the paper at the corner of his eye and looked back at her and gave her a big smile. “Don’t worry honey! I got a feeling business is going to be real good starting today.”
